ABOUT ME

It’s nice to meet you!

Amy Hopkinson, LMHC, LPC

EMDR Therapist · Somatic & Parts Work
Licensed in Oregon, Massachusetts & Colorado

Hi, I'm Amy!

I've spent the last 9 years doing this work, and the women I sit with are some of the most self-aware, capable, hard-working people I've ever met. They've read the books. They've done the therapy. They understand their patterns. And they're still stuck. Not because something is wrong with them, but because the patterns they're carrying didn't start in their minds. They started in their bodies, in their nervous systems, in the adaptations they made when they were young and had no other choice.

That's the work I do. Not just talking through it but actually moving through it. I use EMDR, somatic therapy, and parts work because insight alone doesn't change things. Your nervous system has to feel safe enough to let go.

If you've ever thought 'I know exactly why I do this and I still can't stop' — you're probably my person. I work with women who are high functioning on the outside and quietly exhausted on the inside. Women who are done performing for their own life and ready to figure out what it actually feels like to live it.

Outside of sessions you'll find me hiking the trails around Bend, tending to my garden, cooking for people I love, or deep in a psychological thriller. And usually somewhere nearby is Rue, my mini bernedoodle and emotional support provider.

I'm accepting new clients virtually in Oregon, Massachusetts & Colorado. If something here resonates, I'd love to connect.

Emotional Support Provider

Hi! I'm Rue!

I’m a mini bernedoodle who loves long walks and hikes with my mom and I’m 10 years old.

I provide snuggles and comfort when you need it and I'm working on new training with my mom to allow my skills to have a deeper impactful for you when my mom brings me to work with her.

You’ll often see me on mom’s lap during your virtual session’s or snuggled up on the couch.
